The Board of Management of Owenabue Educate Together National School is delighted to confirm that the Department of Education has reached agreement to purchase a site in Janeville, Carrigaline for our permanent school.
Carrigaline was identified a number of years ago as needing a new school due to the town thriving and the population booming. When Owenabue ETNS opened its doors in 2020 it was in the Carrigaline Lions club, in a single room. Now in year three we have Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st class along with two Autism classes in our current temporary home in Heron’s Wood. We are thrilled that we now know where our next step is and our permanent home for our 16 classroom school in the coming years.
There are many steps ahead of us, but this first step gives our school community certainty about where we will be. We’d like to thank our wonderful school community for their support in this process over the past 2 years.
We look forward to providing a caring, equality-based education serving the community of Carrigaline for many years to come.
