Owenabue Educate Together National School opened in September 2020, in Carrigaline, Cork. Starting as a one classroom school in the Carrigaline Lions Club, it is expected to grow to a 16 class school. We are currently based in Rosemount, Heron’s Wood, for the next 3-4 years.
Owenabue ETNS is an equality-based school, with a focus on developing pupils to meet their potential in all areas. We value inclusion, diversity and strong relationships as the foundation for all learning.
At Owenabue ETNS, we learn together to live together.
What is an Educate Together School?
Educate Together national schools are mainstream national schools, operating according to the Rules for National Schools as determined by the Dept. of Education & Science. There are currently over 100 Educate Together National Schools in Ireland and this number is growing every year.
EDUCATE TOGETHER SCHOOLS ARE:
- Child-Centered: We learn through exploration, discovery and play.
- Equality-Based: all children having equal rights of access to the school, and children of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds being equally respected.
- Co-Educational: all children work together to explore their full potential.
- Democratically run: We encourage active participation by all members of our school community, including parents, staff and students.
